SEDDON STOCK SALE.

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report holding their usual Seddon stock sale yesterday. There was only a moderate yarding of sheep, their pens comprising shorn and woolly fat ewes and wethers and a few head of cattle.. The first yarding of this season's fat lambs appeared in their pens, and were cleared partly by auction and partly by private sale at an average of 15s. A nice line of springing heifers entered by Mr O. McGrath received considerable attention, but failed to reach the vendor'si expectation as to price. The Company quote sales at the following figures: —Fat wethers, shorn, 16s; fat ewes, shorn, 14s 6d to 15s 6d; fat ewes, woolly, 20s; fat lambs, 15s; fat steer, '£8 12s 6d; forward steer. £7; milker, due to fourth calf, £7 7s. The Company's next Blenheim stock sale will be held on Wednesday, 20th inst.
