The president of the Auckland Exhibition, Mr G. Elliot, informed a Herald representative on Friday that the question of having boxing contests at the. Exhibition had not been before the executive, and it had not been discussed at all. He could make no statement about the suggestion until an application for permission to hold a contest had been before the executive.
