King's Champion's sire is the invincible Silver Cup, the greatest horse living. He was three times champion at the Highland Show, and twice champion at the Royal of England, and was never beaten. King's Record's dam, Rose of Fashion, 2nd dam Johanna (13,903)^, 3rd dam Nancy of Queenzieburn I (2805) were frequent winners at all the leading shows in Scotland. Nancy of Queenzieburn is the dam of Prince Robert, the sire of the great Cawder Cup winner Hiawatha (10,067). King's Highway is a stylish, wellcoupled horse of big size and plenty of weight, great feet and legs, and capital action. His breeding is all that could be desired, and his allround merit will commend him to breeders of high-class stock. His sire, Kingsway, was one of the best colts ever bred, at Blaekhall, and was sold for £1000 at 2 years old for export to Canada. His dam was the great prize mare Scottish Gipsy, by the famous champion Royal Gartly. King's Highway's dam and granddam won many prizes at all the leading shows. King's Highway won the LauderdaJe breeders' premium of £80 in 1910. The top cross in this horse is Gallant Prince and Lord Lothian, and are in great request as breeders at present.
