THEATRICAL ADVERTISING.

David Belasco, owner and manager of the two New York theatres bearing,' his name, is once more leading the way in theatrical reforms. Five years ago, when the Musical Union began dictating to him, Mr Belasco promptly hurled the orchestra into outer darkness. Now he has decided to abolish hoarding advertising. The money thus saved will be used to increase his newspaper advertising. He says he is satisfied that -much better results will be secured by giving his shows fuller publicity in the daily press.
