FISH KILLED BY HEAT.

The tidal waters of. the Thames have been the scene of a serious destruction of fish, which have been seen floating dead* in large numbers in the 'Chiswick, Lsleworth, Richmond, and other districts. Ati Richmond it is stated that "millions" of dead fish, have been met with. The fish inolude dace, roach, bream, barbel, and eels, and tthere have been some large specimens among them. The cause of the mortality is not definitely known, but it may be due to the intense heat affecting tihe temperal>ure of the watjsr. Tar from the roads is also suspected.
