ANTI-HOME RULE MEETINGS.

- LONDON, Jan. .5. Sir W. R. Anson, in' a speech at Sheffield, denied that the Oversea Dominions were indignant 'over the action of the House of Lords. They, like the Motherland, were concerned with the, question of fair trade as against free trade. He advised lis hearers to weigh the fiscal question, and let the Motherland be their first consideration, then their kith and Jrin. overseas.
Violent meetings have been held in the province of Ulster (Ireland) against Home Rule. Five thousand people assembled in one building at Belfast^ while 15,000 were unable to enter.
