THE DAVIS CUP TROUBLE

At- the complimentary dinner given to the Victorian tennis team, Mr Baker, representing the New Zealand Association,; referring to ,the difficulty between Australia arid New Zealand over the : Davis Cup, expressed the hope that matters would be satisfactorily adjusted. He; maintained.that the only question was one of give-and-take on. each side.
Mr Norman Brookes, in reply, trusted that ;-a speedy reconciliation, would be effected, and that when the Davis Cup was/fought out, as he believed it was to be; in Sydney, New Zealand arid Australia would again be (fighting -side by side. ;
