[PBHM ABBOCIAKOW.] MELBOURNE, May 1. In the House last night, Mr "Webfiter asked whether, in view of the inttdequate, biassed and unreliable re-, ports and comments of the press on the doings of Parliament, the GovernJment would consider the advisability of establishing a Commonwealth news*
paper. Mr Deakin replied that he was^unaware of any unusual .change in the attitude of the press. He thought that the Government wes engaged in sufficient intricate subjects at present, •without tackling a newspaper.
