At the six furlongs the. order was practically the same. Dyed Garments came up. Lady Diffidence was still in charge half a mile from home. Maranui was first into the straight. Dyed Garments took charge at the distance, and won easily by six lengths, two between second and third, Maranui fourth, and Bright Steel last. Time, 3min 34sec.

First Steeplechase:; Kuala Lumper ], Eclair 2,•Boomerang 3. The only other starter, Conde fell. Won .by three lengths. Time, omin 493jserf. First Nursery Handicap: Black Range 1, Malteur 2, Contango -3. Twelve starters. Won by a length and a half. Time, lmin 44$ see. There was glorious- weather, and the attendance was a record. The going was a bit heavy after the rain.
