STRIKERS' CONTEMPTIBLE TACTICS.

As ihe result of alleged interference 'with'meA applying for work at the (employers' bureau, the strikers were ccompelled to remove from the immediate .vicinity, but when beyond the iimmediate influence of the police applicants,'were, sub jested to the usual attention, jby pickets, and taunting and 'jeering by ~the crowd. The r general manager of the North tfeMan Lloyd's Company states that ! his company v^ill be forced to get coal (from other sources while; the present uncertainty of labour conditions lasts. [During the past-fortnight they had f; bought 2000.tons outside Sydney, and .their freight and'lslands steamers will tcoal there. If the strike extends to the miners the Abompany will be able to procure sufEcient coal at Colombo .or in the East. .
