OFFENDERS IMPRISONED

ASHBURJSDN, April 12. At the Magistrate^ Court to-day, Mr V. G. Day, S.M.^residing, fourteen alleged sly- grog selling cases are being heard. Up to the luncheon adjournment three cases had been disposed of: Frederick B. Robinson, with one previous conviction, sentenced to five weeks' imprisonment each on two charges, the sentenecs to be concurrent; Annie Alexander, convicted and ordeved to come- up for sentence when called upon; Samuel Alexander, with three previous convictions, sentenced to three -months' imprisonment. Later. Robert Patterson was fined £50 and costs. Th other cases are; proceeding.
