PICTON ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting was held in the Blenheim Council Chambers this morning. Present: Messrs D'Arcy Chaytor (Chairman), Randall, Reston, Bragg, Smith, and Morrin. On the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Mr Bragg, a rate of threefarthings in the £ was struck for the ensuing year. ' ' The Cloudy Bay members were authorised to arrange for poisoned grain at a cost of £6. It was resolved that Messrs Law, ■ Burroughs and Morrin be applied to for the amount of contract for No. 1 embankment at C. Burroughs's. The Inspector was granted a fortnight's leave of absence. The Board then adjourned.
