Plaintiff claimed £2000 damages for injuries sustained in a railway accident at Chainey's corner, between Belfast and Kaiapoi, in June last, and the jury awarded him £1500. Elizabeth Richards, whose husband was tilled in the accident, was awarded £'700 copmensation, and two of her children dependent upon her husbands earnings were awarded £104 and £175 10s respectively.
