SETTLEMENT OF NATIVE LANDS.

[press association.] AUCKLAND, June 9. As a result of the Hon. Mr Carroll s conference with Waikato native^ the Moerangi block, comprising 4o,UUU acres, will be divided into four sections —one of 5000 acres, two of 10,000, and two of 15,000 acres (sic). One portion •will be set aside as a native reserve, a second for Maori farming purposes, and the remainder for European settlement.
