CHRISTCHURCH, June 6. There was a gopd entry pf all classes of stock at the Addingtcn yards today, including an extra large penning of cattle, and prices were all fully up to tho average, though.the fat cattle wore slightly easier.
Store sheep—The entry was smaller than last week, but there was a decided improvement in the tone of the market, especially for wethers and lambs and ewes in lamb. The following were the principal sales:—7l3 halfbred wethers, 16s 3u to 16s od ; 61 crossbred wethers, 16s 2d; 90 aged ewes, 10s 2d; 517 four, six, and eight-topth ewes, 14s 6d; 84 forward lambs, 12s Gd; 25 forward wethers, 16s 9d. Fat lambs—The yarding pf fat lambs was slightly larger than the previous week, but the quality was hardly as gpod.
Fat sheep—There was only a fair entry of fat sheep, and prices for extra prime were fully up to last week's. Second quality and freezers were slightly easier.
Fat cattle—Owing to the large entry, which comprised 325, the sale at the commencement was dull, but brightened up considerably towards the end. Prime beef brought from 15s to 20s per 100 lb.
Store and dairy cattle—There was a good yarding of store and dairy cattle, and prices were on a par with those riling last week. Gepd cews sold from £6 to £8 ss, others £2 10s to £7.
Pigs—A fair number of pigs were penned, and met with a good sale. Light-weight baconers made 38s to 445, extra 49s to 56s,equalling from 3|d to 4d per Ib. Porkers met with a fair sale, fetching from 25s to 325, equalling from 4d to 4 7 Jd per lb. Small stores made from 4s to 7s 6dj medium 8s to 12s, and large stores up to 20s.
