Tin—The position is very sound. Consumers are buying very largely. There is a strong demand for American ; it is believed that requirements there are still uncovered. Spot £203, three months £197 10s per ton. Copper—Spot £84 ss, three months £83 5s per ton.
Lead—£l6 10s per ton; imports 19,574 tons; Australian 3672: exports 3691.
Hemp is steady; May-June £31 ss. Sheep—Canterbury light 3£d per lb, medium 3 13-16' d, heavy 3kl; North Island, 3Ad, best 3|d. " ' Lamb—Canterbury light 4^d, medium 4 11-16 d, heavy, 4 9-16 d.
Beef is unchanged. River Plate Sheep—Heavy 3»d, light 3i-d; beef unchanged. Rabbits are very dull. Large Australian 13s to 13s 6d.
Wool—Prices were maintained, and possibly a little dearer. The amount catalogued to date is 49,646 bales ■ sold, 47,912. Glendhu 12^1, Moeraki 14.\d, AVestbourne 14gd.
Waihi Shares—£7 13s 9d to £7 16s 3d.
