The House of Lords agreed to Lord Avebury's resolution affirming that the question of Sunday shopping demands the serious attention of the Government. '
Lord Tweedmouth agreed to refer the subject to the Joint Committee of Legislature.
( The Archbishop of Canterbury presides at the national conference convened by the religious, bodies for dealing with the whole, subject of Sunday, observance.
