MARLBOROUGH V. PICTON

The Marlborough and AVaitohi Tennis Clubs played a match oh Nelson Square,, Picton, on Saturday in good weather. The former proved their superiority by winning with a margin of 215 points. There was k large attendance of spectators, and the pro* ceedings were thoroughly enjoyabley Of the seventeen games played, only one was won by Waitohi, Misses Fuller and Price having the distinction of defeating their opponents in the Ladies' Doubles. Afternoon tea wasj provided by the ladies, and the visitors were most hospitably treated.
