THE AUSTRALIAN RESOLUTION

OF SYMPATHY

LONDON, March 9. Lord Elgin, Secretary of State for the Colonies, in a despatch to Lord Northcqte, Governor-General of the Australian Commonwealth, states.that the Federal House of Representatives' address and the SenateV resolution, recently adopted, in favour of Home Rule, were submitted to the King, who highly appreciated the loyal sentiments conveyed.
