This morning Mr Adams dwelt at some length on the point raised by the Chief Justice that a Magistrate had no jurisdiction to void a poll, and supported that view. Mr Atkinson followed on the ssitno side, aud laid stress on tho point that the absurdities suggested during the argument would necessarily apply to a first poll under the Act.
