Hanlon appeared for the relatives of Osmond, the missing man. One witness testified to seeing d.o---coa.'sß(i meet Osmond on the evening in question. Osmond carried a parcel, and deceased had no hat on.

Dr Evans to-ttified that when he saw tho body afc 3.30 in the afternoon ifc tnmh hava been dend over 15 hoars. Afc the post rnorfcem examination with Dr Martin there was no sign of mark or injury. Witness gavo evidence as to finding deceased in a cor tain con dition, and that certain internal parts had been interfered with. He found uo trace of poison. In Ms opinion death was dno to syncope, brought on by some manipulation of internal pai vts. There were similar cases where death had been caused by shock;
