OPPOSITION TO AN AUSTRALIAN NAVY.

At the second annual conference of the Chambers of Commerce of the Australian Commonwealth, a resolution favoring the establishment of an Australian navy was rejected by a largo majority.
Most of the speakers favored the proposals of the Federal Government for an increased subsidy to the Imperial Navy.
