A GREAT DEMONSTRATION AT

HYDE PARK.

As a protest against the London Education Bill, 100 non conformists, including Congregational churches, led by their ministers, members of Trades Unions and Benevolent Societies, held a procession through the city. They met on the embankment and marched to Hyde Park, singing hymns, with banners flying, and bands playing.

The brilliant weather attracted 100,000 to the Park, where a great demonstration was held. Twelve platforms had been erected.

Dr Clifford of the Metropolitan Free Churches Council) and other ministers, Mr Lloyd George and members of the House of Commons denounced the Bill.
