By arrangement with Mr Rothschild, jeweller, of Wellington, Mr O. 6. Warwick, diver, who endeavored to recover the treasure from the Elinga* mite, is to fit out an expedition and dive to the wreck of the Tasmania sunk on the East Coast, with the view of endeavoring to recover £5000 worth of jewellery, the property of Mr Rothschild, which sunk with the Tasmania.
Christchurch, March 2.
The Hospital Board and City Council had some dispute in regard to the expenditure of £1000 on the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Bottle Lake, and the Council at its meeting this evening asked the Board to continue in control and limit the expenditure to absolute necessities.
