Tt is officially announced that Alexandria is infected with Asiatic
cholera.
Paris, September 29
The French Miners' Congress decided in favor of a general strike, and instructed the National Committee to organise for and fix the date of the
strike.
Colonel Saint Remey and General Frater have been placed on half-pay for testifying that the orders transmitted to Saint liemey were civil not
military.
Three earthquake shocks have been felt at Montiers.
Vienna, September 29. Jellinek's body lias been recovered from the Danube.
