Two warships, nineteen steamers, and three sailing vessels have been launched at the Clyde shipping yards during September.
Cavill beat Billington in a 300 yards swimming race at Liverpool, his time being 3min 34 3-ssec. Lane swam 150 yards in lmin 36 3-sth sec. Both times were records.

The International Maritime Conference has adopted a draft treaty aiming at securing a uniform law dealing with collisions at sea and salvage.
