SPECIAL SERVICES AND PRAYER.
London, June 25. : The Premier, Lord Salisbury, and Mr Balfour went to the Palace, and then to the Cabinet meeting. Mr Balfeur's room has been arranged for transacting State business duriDg the King's illness. Mr Balfour later intimated that the Banks would be closed for two days, but other businesses were at liberty to. resume work. A special service of prayer was held at Alexandra Park today. The visiting troops will be confined to their1 camps until further orders* Theatres are open during the bank, holidays. In the House of Commons Mi? Balfour stated that the bank holidays' on ' the 26th and 27th must stand. It was impossible to conveniently alter the arrangement under that head. London, June 26* The Archbishops of Canterbury and York prescribed ordinary services fo* the 26th inst., with special Psalms, lessons and hymns; also at private" devotions a prayer for visitation of thftsick, " Hear us, Almighty."' / •A service of intercession was held at - St. Paul's to-day. Archbishop Vaughan prescribes the recitation of the rosary, adding the expression of the Pope's solicitude*
