Copyright. Keceived February 17, 10 a.m. London, February 16. Earthquakes destroyed Shemakha, a town in Russian Transcaucasia.
Two hundred bodies have been dug from the ruins and hundreds more have perished.
Twenty-five thousand inhabitants are without food and shelter. Shocks constantly recur.
