At the wool sales competition for crossbreds has had a hardening tendency.

At the periodical sales of sheep ;kins prices were irregular. Of 2510 offered 2350 were sold at par to a farthing decline.

Hemp — Fair. Wellington, AprilJune shipment, £24 15s per ton ; May shipment, £23 10s.

At the wool sales there was a lirge catalogue and a brisk sale Prices were firm. The lots sold included Moa Fiat, which brought G-^d por.lb. Up to date 225,370 bales have been catalogued for the present series, of which 210,000 have been sold.
