At the close of last night's performance at Her Majesty/s .Theatre, a man entered the bar adjoining the dress circle, and fired three shots from, a revolver at Miss Jenkins, one of the barmaids. Two of the shots tobk'effect seriously, and the third struck a Miss Riot, who was dangerously wounded.

In the confusion which followed the assailant escaped, but ho was gitbsequcnlly found and arrested. His name is John Beal. Jealousy caused his action.
