The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company reports having had, on the whole, a successful sale at Mr A. U. Bourne's on Tuesday last. Sheep.—These.did not sell as well as was expected, a very fine line of 400 6 and 8-tooth ewes in lamb being passed in at 13s Cd. Smaller lots sold well.
The stud English Leicester ilock brought the sensational price of:— Srjgns for ewes; 2-igns for ewe lambs ; rams, 2^gns to 7-Jgns ; ram lambs, £2 10s.
Horses: Draughts, £15 to £30; light harness, £20.
Cattle: Yearlings, 325. Pigs: Berkshire sows, 2gns ; weaners, 11s to 235.
Fowls, Is 3d to 3s per head; ducks, 2s.
Implements sold up to full value, as also did sundries and furniture and produce.
