BLENHEIM.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company offered 2855 sheep and 52 rams at the Blenheim saleyards, *>ut of which number over 2000 sheep and 23 rams were sold. Prices during the earfy part of the afternoon dragged a good deal, owing in a great measure to the strong nor'-west wind blowing at the time of the sale, and the general want of rain, but bidding livened up later on, and fair prices were secured for all good lines:—
Old Merino ewes brought 3s to ss; crossbred owes, old, 5s 4d; other lots withdrawn at 10s and 12s; crossbred lambs, stores, Gs Id to 8s 6d, very forward, 10s ; crossbred wethers, fat, 12s Od; Merino wethers, fat, 10s 9d. Rams : English Leicester 3gns ; Merino, aged, 1 guinea; Shropshire, aged' 2gns ; Lincoln, 10s to 20s.
