WOOL AND SKINS.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report as follows '.—
At our fortnightly sale we offered a catalogue of some 20 bales Vrool and 1200 sheepskins. There was a good attendance of buyers. Prices for wool wero about the same as at last sale. Skins were eagerly coini/etcd for, with the result that prices were slightly higher. We quote :— Locks -id to l\d per lb, bellies and pieces Id" t<J"2id, coarse crossbred up to 4}d ; and line crossbred up to 4^d per lb. Sheepskins: Good crossbred, fullspoiled, 4Jd per lb ; half-bred 4*d. Medium crossbred up to 4d per lb. A good line of merino skins fetched s£d per lb. WUngtoa, l2tU April»49ot»
