LONDON MARKETS.
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from the-.Agent-General, dated 13th April: ■ —Butter,* 100s, market iirm; cheese, 475. New .Zealand hemp, good fair Wellington, £24; fair current Manila, £33. The market is dull. Stocks Ist April—New Zealand, 362 tons, as against 206 last year; Manila, 1(5,030 bales, as against 6740, and heavy shipments of hemp are expected from Manila. Cocksfoot seed, 171b standard, 335; there is a Jjetter demand for cocksfoot seed. . .itfcon is a falling market. Average p A ees—Can torbury, 4 |d; Dunedin, 3gd; isorth Island, 3gel; Australian, 2^-d; Eiver Plate, 3}d. The lamb market is good. Canterbury, s|d; others, 5Jd; Australian, 4fd. Beef is firmer—Hinds, 3|d ; fores, 3{d.
