Lord Salisbury, the Premier, an* nouacesthat Great Britain has signed the Hague Convention relating to the pacifio settlement ot disputes and tbe laws and customs of warfare on land. Great Britain is willing to adopt the Geneva Convention as (o maritime warfare, with the reservation of article five. Tbe Direotors of the Union and Castle steam lines to the Caps have agreed upon terms of amalgamation.
