NEW MAIL SERVICE. (UNITED PBKBB ASSOCIATION.! London, May 6. la the House, Mr Hansbury, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, said tenders for the Indian and Australian mail service would be invited at a minimum speed of 131 knots. No European port of call was mentioned, but Mr Hansbury explained that if Marseilles showed better results than Brindisi the PostmasterGeneral would be free to choose that route. Tenders for a fast GauadianEnglish service, to begin m May, 1898, will be received up to June 10th. -
