A CONDEMNATORY LETTER,
Pretoria, May 6, The Transvaal Government has published extracts from the letter book of Phillips, one of the prisoners, writing to Werner, his financial agent m London, m July, 1894. ! He says, "Loch stated he would 1 certainly come if Johannesburg possessed three thousand rifles and am* munitioa." Much drilling is still going on at Pretoria. It is reported that De Wett, British Agent, is recalled. London, May 6. The Chartered Company's Direc* tors are considering the propriety of accepting Rhodes and Beit's resigna- < tions. ; Pretoria, May 7. It is reported the Executive delayed coming to a decision upon Reformers' sentences by General Jouberts insisting upon unanimity.
