ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
A SERIES OF CASUALTIES. Masterton, Septombßr 20. A serious aooident occurred on the road between Oarterton and Master^ ton yesterday afternoon. Mr R. F. Temple and family, of this town, were driving m a gig, when the horse shied and went over the Ride of a culvert. The whole of the occupants of the vehicle were thrown out, Mr Temple sustained a fracture of the leg and a severe cut; Mrs Temple a sprain of the hand; and a boy, aged four, a nasty bruise under the eye. Mr Ben Gave fell down w a fit m Queenstreet this morning, and sustained a nasty out on the head. A man named Gottis, of Maurice - villa, inflicted a fearful gash on his arm with a obiael yesterday, and had to come to Masterton for medical treatment. At the adjourned inquest on the body of William Waite, the jury returned a verdict of Accidental Drowning.—Post Correspondent. A bevebe rheumatio pain m the left ehouldedr bad troubled Me J. H. Loper, a well-known druggist of Des Moines, lowa, for over cis months. At times the pain was so severe that he oould not lift anything. With all he oould do he oould not get rid of it until he applied Chamberlain's Fain Balm. " I only made three applioations of it," he says, " and have since been free from all pain."
