A HEAVY CLAIM. (UNITED PBBBB ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, July 29. The case of Mrs Dean was not considered by tha Executive Council to-day, but a special meeting is convened for 9.30 to-morrow morning, to decide whether the death sentence shall be commuted or carried out. July 30. A meeting of the Executive Council to finally consider the case of Minnie Dean will not be held before to-morrow. The Hon. J. G. Ward has instructed his solicitors to issue a writ against John McQueen, of Knapdale, Southland, claiming £19,000 damages for libel alleged to be contained in a circular issued on the Bth init. in connection with the frozen meat trade .
