THE LAND PURCHASE BILL. PROSPECTS OF THE PLAN OF CAMPAIGN. (dnited press association.) London, May 23. The Land Purchase Bill has passed through Committee. Mr Parnell admits that the Plan of Campaign will collapse shortly. New Yoke, May 23. A sum of fifteen thousand dollars, being the balance of the American-Irish fund has been remitted to Archbishop Croke and Mr Justin McCarthy to be devoted to the relief of evicted tenants m Ireland.
On the application of the Crown to-day the amount of bail estreated m the case of Messrs Dillon and O'Brien, M.P.'s, who lefs jfche country while on bail, but subsequpntly returned and surrendered themselves was reduced to one half.
