» EPIDEMIC OF MEASLES, DYSENTERY AND LA GBIPPE. Stoney, January G. The Mission vessel Southern Cross which has arrived from the Islands reports great mortality among natives of (he Gilbert Group, where an epidemic of measles and dysentery has baen raging. Eight cases of true leprosy have been dicsovered m Penryhn's gronp. The natives of the Hervey group have been suffering from La Grippe, and a large number of deaths have occurred.
