THE CHRISTCHURCH GAS COMPANY.

Chbistchurch, July 20. A meeting of the Trades and Labor Council was held last night to consider the difficulty between the Laborers' Union and the Gas Company. The evidence of several men was taken, who alleged that they had been discharged through being connected with the Union. After discussion it was decided to request the Directors of the Company to meet a deputation from the Council this evening.
