FIRE AT SUNNYSIDE.

■* THE PATIENTS SAFE AND QUIET. (united pbess association.) Chbistchubch, Nov. 15. At 9 minutes to 1, a fire broke out at Sunnyside m a small wooden building containing six single rooms on the North side of the end of the wing gutted by the last fire. The cause is not known, but as a fire to burn weeds was lighted about 50 feet off, it is supposed a spark may have been blown over, though the fire was protected by sheets of iron. The wooden building is half destroyed and the fire is burning among the partially destroyed' fittings of the old wing. The Brigade turned out very smartly and are now playing on the flames' with success. A high nor'-wester is blowing but it is raining. The patients are all safe. No panic or confusion is noticeable. The Fire Brigade left the station at 2J minutes after the alarm. The chemical engine reached the fire m 13 minutes later the steamer began to play five minutes later, and their combined efforts soon had an effect and the fire m the main building was subdued. By 1.30, all danger to the rest of the main building was over, and the firemen commenced work at the heap of charred wood lying round which' had all ignited. With the assistance of a heavy northeast downpour this was easily effected, and the fire was totally subdued.
