Wellington, July 1. At Palmerston yesterday a man named Charles Henry, formerly m business as saddler at Feilding, and who recently filed a petition of bankruptcy, was arrested, as it was alleged that he was about to leave the Colony.
A half caste named O'Donnell has been committed for trial for breaking into the store of a Japanese at Otaki. Goods have been missed for some time, and accused was caught red-handed.
Auckland, July 1. Sir Saul Samuel has gone to the Hot Lakes district.
