MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE AT MELBOUBNE.
♦■ Melbourne, May 6. A conference of representatives of different municipalities of Victoria was held at Melbourne to-day, for the purpose of discussing the question of the Jubilee, celebration. The delegates, however, were not disposed to carry out any elaborate celebration, believing they had no power legally to expend the ratepayers' funds for such a purpose.
