The prosecutrix is a young lady of nineteen summers, who resides at the North Shore with her mother and sister. She was employed some month ago m a local: millinery and dressmaking establishment but leaving through ill-health, she has ! remianed at home. The man against whom she brings the charge of broken promises, is employed at Mr G. O wen's store. From the >oung lady's statement it would appear that he had been: keeping company with her last year, and; that it was arranged that they should be married the Wednesday before Christmas 1 Day.
