jPer Greville’s Telegra/ni Gompcmy. Wellington, August 14. In the House yesterday, Mr Vogel introduced a bill providing for the service t ofj notices by Telegraph. The Maori Representation Bill was read a second time. The Marriage of Deceased Wife’s |Sister Bill was further considered. The Highway Boards Empowering Act Amendment Bill was further amended. Mr Wood moved that the House regrets that the Government did not comply with the resolution of the House last session by holding the session at Dunedin. The Government explained that the session was not moved because of the expense and inconvenience, which would be very grave. The motion was withdrawn. Napier, August 14. Shucher, for assaulting Mrs Hardy, was sentenced to penal servitude for life. Dunedin, August 14. Plummer has not yet been captured. Invercargill, August 14. Mr Simmons died suddenly, and Morrison, a pubhcan, has been arrested on a charge of manslaughter. Death is supposed to have resulted from injuries to the head, inflicted by Morrison.
