The following figures have been handed to ps. for public information, as the result of a thorough and patient investigation of the various documents and vouchers in detail, under which all monies have been expended since the Separation of this Province from Nelson until the present time. It is satisfactory to learn that when the model petitions from Picton and the Pelorus, seeking to be erected into Counties, are taken under consideration by the Assembly, these figures will be produced in contradiction of the statements contained in those mendacious documents. We regret that the late period at which the information reached us, renders it impossible this week ,to do more than lay it before our readers, but we. may possibly on a future occasion, devote a little space to its consideration.
