A large meeting was held at Runanga last night, when the Mayor'presided. Mr Holland, M.P., addressed the meeting, and the following- resolution was passed: “That, in view of the fact that the Elizabeth Mine is practically worked out, the serious shortage of the Dominion supply, and the famine, prices, die Government be urged ro proceed with the development of the Nine Mile scam.” The resolution will he forwarded to -he acting-Premier and the Minister for Mines.
