At.the Borough Council meeting last night the electrical engineer recommended 5 that 50 electric light meters,'be pro- [ cured as soon as possible, as he. had only a few in stock. The recommendip tion was adopted and the town clerk authorised to procure .the meters. - In order to raise funds for the purpose of having heating .apparatus installed ire the infant department of the (ipra public school (the application, to. the Education- Department for assistance in this direction having been declined), are entertainment will,be. given in the Princess Theatre, to-morrow attemoon* connnen-ing 3 o clock, by tlul children in the infant classes under the direction of Miss Howes (infant mistress). The, children have been studiously preparing for some -time -for the entertainment. - which will include children’s songs, old 1 folk songs, Maypole and other dunces, etc. The prices for admission have been fixed at 2s and Is, so that a large attendance should be assured..
